Aurora teases new album and announces UK and European tour
Queendom is coming...
Aurora has teased the release of new material as well as announcing details of UK and European tour dates.
The Norwegian singer-songwriter is set to release the hotly-anticipated follow-up to her acclaimed 2016 debut ‘All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend’. As well earning a devoted cult of fans and racking up millions of views on Youtube for singles including ‘Runaway’, ‘I Went Too Far’ and ‘Running With The Wolves’, she also charted in the UK with her cover of Oasis’ ‘Half The World Away’ for the John Lewis Christmas advert. She also recorded a popular cover of David Bowie’s ‘Life On Mars’ for the sitcom ‘Girls’.

Now, after showcasing her bold and more animated but direct new material at a London showcase gig earlier this year, Aurora is teasing the release of her next album with a string of trailers online – showing her at work in the studio and backed by some ominous and dramatic new music. It comes titled as ‘Our Queendom Come’, which many fans are speculating could be the name of her second album.
Aurora tour dates and tickets
Her upcoming UK tour dates are below. Tickets are on sale from 9am on Friday April 13 and will be available here.
Wednesday October 10 – MANCHESTER Academy 2
Thursday October 11 – LONDON O2 Forum
Describing her creative approach in 2016, Aurora said that she was constantly at work and keen to release new music as soon as poosible.
“The sound world I’ve created is strange because the album was done for over a year so now it feels very old,” she told Gigwise. “I’ve gone into a portal into another world. That’s why it feels painful, because I’ve moved on. I know so much more about myself as an artist now than I did when I made the album. It’s going to be a bit difficult knowing that it will be the new Aurora for everyone, when it’s actually the old Aurora. I have to let things go.”
“I have already written many [new] songs that nobody has heard yet. I want all of them on the album. I want to release a second album as soon as I can because I can’t wait.”
